However, if you consider the entire series that's planned so far, you're looking at 350,000 words-plus. That's kind of mind-boggling!Genene Valleau, writing as Genie Gabrielhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02565138811080005830noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8392182043945362363.post-17541149533543051012012-07-26T14:58:28.232-04:002012-07-26T14:58:28.232-04:00Hi, Karen! That's what my Legacy Series does.

No, these books don't have to be read in order. I'm striving for the balance of including enough information in each book that readers will know what has happened previously, but they won't feel like they've already read about this because it's from a different point of view.

The bonus is you'll be able to revisit favorite characters from previous books--like seeing cherished friends again.Genene Valleau, writing as Genie Gabrielhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02565138811080005830noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8392182043945362363.post-84787866266309841822012-07-26T14:50:46.061-04:002012-07-26T14:50:46.061-04:00LOL, Courtney! Maybe in this rapidly changing world of publishing, those kinds of books could be released as e-books in several installments over a number of weeks. Might be interesting to find out if this could be a hit with readers.Genene Valleau, writing as Genie Gabrielhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02565138811080005830noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8392182043945362363.post-73830492621024130362012-07-26T14:40:34.069-04:002012-07-26T14:40:34.069-04:00Hi, Mary! Even though each book gets its HEA for the H/H, I still don't want to see it end. Stephanie Laurens and her Cynsters is just such a series. There are about 17 books so far which include brothers and cousins of the wives of the original 6 cousins. Now she's working on the girls in the family! Great fun reading about grown up daughters who were still in the school room when Devil met his bride!

From what I'm reading about your series, it is probably a necessity that they be read in order, is that correct?

kareninnc at gmail dot comKaren Hhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13732638672537005826noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8392182043945362363.post-18263858824111913682012-07-26T09:02:05.353-04:002012-07-26T09:02:05.353-04:00I read long long books like The Outlander Series, ...I read long long books like The Outlander Series, and I read short, like you usually find in YA. Truthfully, I enjoy something in the middle. I remember reading Stephen King's The Stand and thinking "is this book ever going to end?" and I love his books.
