I was mostly a stay at home teen, at least until I finished high school and discovered real life! I think that's one reason why I love books so much - it is fun escaping into another world when your own reality isn't all it could be :) Thanks for commenting today.Jennifer Lynnehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04846647173731883184noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8392182043945362363.post-24326023791541445912012-03-27T20:16:47.086-04:002012-03-27T20:16:47.086-04:00Thanks for sharing your secrets. I don't like ...Thanks for sharing your secrets. I don't like chocolate either. At work, you'd think I was a heretic. As for my childhood "secret"--When my family moved when I was 10 years old, I did not adapt very well. I had always been a public school girl and the transition to Catholic school didn't go well. I was the OPPOSITE of popular and I kind of hibernated at home when not in school. SO, when my mom had to punish me, which happened on occasion, instead of grounding me, she would force me to go outside. It's funny to think about now.

catherinelee100 at gmail dot comCatherine Leehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14998035693869891918noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8392182043945362363.post-64229537635115067372012-03-27T16:34:21.577-04:002012-03-27T16:34:21.577-04:00Hi Mom Jane, thanks for sharing some of your memor...Hi Mom Jane, thanks for sharing some of your memories today. I bet your mom noticed the bread and had a quiet chuckle each time! I used to get 5 cents and go up to the local shop to spend an hour choosing a few lollies. That poor shop owner! Amazing how long we could take as a child to make decisions like that, isn't it? And how much fun we had making them!Jennifer Lynnehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04846647173731883184noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8392182043945362363.post-54746442761091394422012-03-27T16:31:02.386-04:002012-03-27T16:31:02.386-04:00Hi Linda, thanks so much for stopping by the tour ...Hi Linda, thanks so much for stopping by the tour today! I would always sneak a piece from the middle. Thought my mom wouldn't notice. She probably did. Also, if I had 5 Cents, I would stop at the butcher shop and get a huge pickle. I would stare for a long time at the big jar until I decided which was the biggest.MomJanehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15887390809547017357noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8392182043945362363.post-43350455805871415612012-03-27T09:46:13.261-04:002012-03-27T09:46:13.261-04:00I enjoyed your ten things and am glad you survived...I enjoyed your ten things and am glad you survived the tree attack. I love storms--love the energy, the sound and smell of them. The first storm I remember was when I was four and we moved from Maryland to Arizona. We had to pull over to the side of the road because of tornados. It was the first time I'd ever seen the sky have a green tint. Of course, sitting n a ditch in the rain wasn't much fun:-)

linda AT lindaandrews DOT netLinda Andrewshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07290703660068761055noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8392182043945362363.post-88955319686544700492012-03-27T05:59:38.734-04:002012-03-27T05:59:38.734-04:00Thank you for hosting Jennifer today!Thank you for hosting Jennifer today!Goddess Fish Promotionshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07952608939319684406noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8392182043945362363.post-73300442773789397122012-03-27T05:28:29.852-04:002012-03-27T05:28:29.852-04:00Hi Marybelle, we only have the one tree now that i...Hi Marybelle, we only have the one tree now that is within falling distance of the house - and yes, it is a gum. Looks lovely, but I move to a different part of the house if we have high winds or storms.
