She is a brave woman and has come to share some secrets with us.

5 Things No One Would Guess About Me

For the most part, I consider myself to be a pretty open and out there person, but I do have a few secrets that very few people know about me.

Clowns - I am terrified of clowns and I don’t mean in the “they give me the creeps sort of way”. No, when I see a clown I break out in a sweat, have difficulty breathing, and have even screamed if taken by surprise (that happened at one of my daughter’s dance competitions). I cannot form words and often cannot even move if I am in the presence of one at a parade or party. I am a firm believer that all clowns should be preceded by a clown warning light before appearing on stage or screen.

The Color Red - I am a terribly superstitious person, but not in the conventional way, I have my own set of odd little beliefs. One of my biggest hang ups is the color red. Red is a super bad omen for me, I won’t wear red if I can help it or walk on red tiles or carpets. The odd part is it doesn’t extend to lipstick or food.

Michael Praed - While most people that follow me know that the Robin of Sherwood actor is my not so secret crush, but what they don’t know is that while I loved Robin of Sherwood, I actually prefer him in the play based on F. Scott Fitzgerald and his wife Zelda called The Beautiful and the Damned in some areas and Zelda in others. I caught it on You Tube and was amazed by the story and him.

The Hillywood Show - I am a huge fan of The Hillywood Show and their parodies. I’m not sure if my favorite would be the Warm Bodies Parody, Gagaween, or the Harry Potter So You Think You’re A Wizard. As you can see, I’m a total fan freak. Actually, I sort of kept Hilly Hindi of The Hillywood Show in mind as Becca for all of my Spiritus Series novels. I’ve always said if they ever turn them into a movie, she would be perfect for the part.

I Cry At Movies - I am far from a girly-girl. I don’t wear pink or dresses and am more comfortable working in the yard than cleaning the house, but I do cry over movies. Actually, not just movies. I cry over books, television shows, and movies. Izzy passing Denny’s ghost in the hall (Grey’s Anatomy), Budweiser commercials, Gilford saying good-bye to Lady Jane before being beheaded (Lady Jane), Scarlet O’Hara on the road home to Tara (Gone with the Wind), You Must Love Me scene (Evita), or even Lady Hamilton’s speech at the end of That Hamilton Woman.

As you can see, I’m a crazy mix of fears, superstitions, obsessions, and emotions. Thank goodness I can write, at least then I can pass it all off as just having a creative personality.

When Becca moves into her ancestral home in Corydon, Indiana, her life takes a puzzling and thrilling turn when she meets the ghost haunting the halls. As the seductive spirit lures her closer and closer, she learns about her own past and starts to understand that some mistakes are meant to last.

To Becca, Alastor is a seductive spirit that seems to see straight into her soul. To Alastor, Becca is what he has waited a century for--A second chance. But a second chance at what? Love...Or revenge?
